The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Overall good condition. The surfaces with a few minor surface scratches, minor surface dirt to the recessed areas and minor discoloration consistent with age and gentle use. The palmwood with a few very minor losses along the stem and age cracks to wood, corresponding with the veining of the wood and not visually distracting. The top square element above the stem appears to have been reset at some point and is slightly misaligned. One of the decorative elements at the corner of the base has been replaced at some point. The shade has been replaced and is in good condition with light surface dirt consistent with gentle handling. The lamp is fitted with a US plug. A very delicate and elegant object which exemplifies Rousseau’s superior craftsmanship.
