Lot Essay

Ray Howard-Jones spent much of her life living and working in isolation on Skomer, Wales, from which some of her her most inspired work was derived. For some time on this island she shared her time with Raymond Moore (1920-1987), the photographer, 'one off the most important of his generation’. Several of her works are in the National Library of Wales.
