Lot Essay
A seaside holiday interrupted by discussions of his divorce.
Einstein writes from the idyllic surroundings of the Baltic coast: 'I have received your letter with the original divorce advice – Till Eulenspiegel' (a reference to a prankster figure in German folklore who masquerades as a divorce lawyer). 'Here it is glorious, as if made for someone of my sort. A shame that you and our boys aren't here'. An acquaintance is going to Zurich, and Einstein asks Besso to help him.
