The canvas has been wax lined. The surface is slightly dirty and there is a network of fine craquelure throughout. Upon inspection under UV light, there are several dime size or larger areas of inpainting in the sky. There is a small line approximately 1 inch in length of inpainting in the water. There are two small dots of inpainting in the rocks in the right foreground. There are several small areas of inpainting near the figures in left foreground and a few small spots of inpainting in the road and on the building on the left.
