The surface is stable and light surface dirt is present. The canvas has been wax relined. Under UV light inspection there is retouching at the extreme edges to address frame abrasion. There are dots and lines of retouching scattered through the sky and on the face of the upper story of the Doge's Palace at right. There is possible retouching or cleaning in a few areas about an inch from the lower edge.
