The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas has been lined on to a thin piece of plastic that has been adhered to a second canvas using glue as an adhesive. There is minor surface dirt over the surface and scuffing to the edges caused by the frame. Inspection under UV reveals a wash of inpainting throughout the sky into the street at lower right and lower left. There are touches of inpainting around the edges of the figure's hat including a possible repaired break in the canvas between her face and proper left arm. The edges of the fur scarf have been retouched and there are two large retouches in her collar. There are areas of inpainting in her dress from the bust downwards and her proper left elbow has been reinforced.
