The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The surface is stable and there is a light layer of surface dirt. There is minor scuffing and gold paint deposits around the extreme edges due to frame abrasion. Under UV light, there is retouching to the extreme edges to address frame abrasion. There small scattered retouches including a one inch line in the background next to the red curtain. There is possible retouching to the adornment on the red sleeve and the bird.
