詳情
Igor Severyanin (Igor Vasilyevich Lotaryov, 1887-1941)
Inscribed photograph. 1937
Portrait photograph signed ('Igor Severyanin') and inscribed to 'Evgeny Alexandrovich', Tallinn, 11 February 1937.

Informal photograph by an unknown photographer, printed on a postcard. Inscribed in Russian on verso.

A rare inscribed photograph. Severyanin gained early fame for his role in founding the 'ego-futurism' movement, and for his flamboyant poetry readings in a persona inspired by Oscar Wilde. He emigrated to Estonia early in 1918, never to return to Russia. The inscription on the present photograph records a happy memory of the summers of 1919-1920. Rare at auction: ABPC and RBH record only a single lot at auction, in 2012.
