"Copyright is important; money, in this case, isn't."

A lengthy letter from Milne discussing ownership and copyright of the first edition of the accompanying essay “The Ascent of Man.” Milne complains about his publisher Ernest Benn holding onto copyright for too long and asserts his right to re-publish his own essay after a certain period of time.
