Includes multiple pages of manuscript index listing portraits and views in each volume; the final volume containing an excerpt from a travel diary and a list of all plates (all in the same hand).

10 volumes, octavo. Numerous engravings featuring portraits of notable French historical figures and locations, such as Versailles. Contemporary navy morocco gilt stamped with a monogram ‘SS,’ gilt turn-ins and edges. Contained in a wood box.
