First English edition of this science fiction classic. The First Men in the Moon anticipates the hopes and fears of the space age while also functioning as a satire on over-specialization. Octavo. Illustrated by Claude Shepperson with frontispiece and 11 plates. Original cloth (light rubbing to spine and edges, endpapers toned).
