Protestant Biblical commentary in a contemporary binding with chain. The binding is stamped with the sigil of the Duchy of Liegnitz-Brieg in Silesia, ruled at the time by the Silesian Piasts.

Two works in one, quarto (200 x 153mm). Woodcut printer's device at the end of each work (repairs to outer corner of final gathering, some toning, spots). Contemporary blindstamped pigskin over wooden boards, dated "I:H 1592" and with stamped armorial of the Duchy of Liegnitz-Brieg in Silesia, catchplates, chain (worn). Custom box. Provenance: signature on title and flyleaf.
