Quinta do Serrado, Boal Madeira 1835
Damaged capsule. Boal 1835 handwritten on bottle. Level: into-neck
Tasting note: Deep nose of dried apricots, passion fruit and vintage furniture wax. Very nice expression showing lots of aromatic and concentration. On the palette fine sweet fruits, pure, smooth and mouth-filling. Broad with with a high toned touch, good acidity in fantastic balance with the rich texture. Reserved at first but oh so beautiful. This has class. Six days later from the same bottle; Strong wine, especially the explosion of orange peel aromas on the finish is impressive. Lots of concentration from the extended cask aging, lingering so beautifully. Great Boal. 98p. April 2024. EV
