The sheet is hinged at the upper corners to the backing board and undulates slightly. Minor wear is to the upper left corner tip. A small indentation is to the center upper edge, a vestige of the artist's working method. A few pinpoint accretions are visible in places and a small spot of discoloration is to the upper left quadrant, in a white passage. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
