The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged to an inset backing board and has not been examined outside of its frame. The sheet undulates at the vertical edges, and the upper and lower edges of the sheet are deckled. Artist pinholes are to the upper corner tips. A few narrow indentations with associated creases are noted at the right upper edge of the sheet. A few faint handling indents and creases are noted to the right of the figure's proper left elbow. Adhesive residue is faintly noticeable along the bottom edge of the sheet, possibly in keeping with the artist's working method. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
