The sheet is hinged at the upper corners to the backing board and undulates. Artist's pinholes are to the corners. Soft creasing is visible throughout. Spots of discoloration and surface soiling are scattered throughout, some of which may be vestiges of the artist's working method. A semicircular impression is to the lower right quadrant and another is to the left edge below center.
