The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged in the upper corners on the reverse to its underlying support. The vertical edges are deckled. The upper edge is uneven with an associated small tear and area of skinning, presumably occurring in the artist's studio. The sheet undulates slightly to the lower edge. There are artist's pinholes to the corners, with two associated handling marks. There are two soft creases to the extreme centre left vertical edge. Subject to the above, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
