The paint is thinned and absent in areas due to the sgraffito painting method of the artist, with brush hairs also evident throughout. There is a minor instance of vertical craquelure at the midpoint of the left side of the work in the red paint. There is an abrasion in the center of the canvas, in the blue-green paint. There is an accretion in the upper right quadrant of the canvas in the lavender paint close to the right edge. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
