The work is structurally sound and both elements are present. A faint layer of surface dust is to the crevices of the work and stool. Faint wear, hairline cracking, minor abrasions and small losses to the paint and wood are intermittently to the figure, presumably in keeping with the artist's working method. Wear and discoloration is intermittently to the stool. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
