The sheet is hinged to the backing board at the corner-tips and undulates very slightly. The edges of the sheet are slightly deckled and the upper edge is cut unevenly. A faint handling mark is to the upper left corner and faint creasing is to the upper edge. A faint handling mark is to the horse's bridle, possibly studio-related. A few pinpoint accretions are infrequent. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
