The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There are a few pinpoint accretions in places, most notably to the centre. There are a few hairline tension cracks in places to the extreme edges. When examined under ultraviolet light there are a few passages in places that fluoresce in a manner consistent with retouching, presumably the artist’s hand. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
