Golden Light

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There is minor rubbing to the extreme upper left and lower right corners. There are pinpoint accretions to the upper right horizontal edge and to the lower left centre. There are minor drying cracks to the impasto to the lower half. When examined under ultraviolet light there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
