Each sheet is hinged at the upper corners and center upper edge to the backing board and undulates slightly. The upper edge of #18 and #19 are deckled. Minor wear is to the edges and corners of each sheet. Pinholes are to the corners of each sheet, one with an associated tear to #18, presumably a vestige of the artist's working process. A few small creases with associated pinpoint losses of paint are to the right corners of #17. Minute hairline cracks are visible occasionally to areas of heavier application of paint in #17, #18 and #19. Two spots of discoloration are to the upper left quadrant of #19. A small indentation is to the lower right corner and a small spot of soiling is to the upper left quadrant of #18. A few faint hairline abrasions are visible occasionally to #17 and #20, and a few pinpoint accretions are near the left edge of #19. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
