The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
(i) Minor wear, scattered abrasions and a few small losses are to the artist's frame, with slight separation to the joints, and a short crack is to the upper right corner of the glazing. A few minute losses are to the dirt elements, most notably to the center lower edge. Slight discoloration is to the board, in keeping with the artist's choice of medium and working method. Small spots of stray media are infrequent, presumably studio-related. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
(ii) The book construction is sealed. Wear, cracking, and a few small losses are scattered, presumably in keeping with the artist’s choice of found material. Minor wear and discoloration is to the printed paper and collage elements, also in keeping with the artist’s choice of found medium.
(iii) The work is structurally sound. Minor wear, discoloration and spots of adhesive residue are to the corner tips and edges. Minor wear is occasionally to the pinholes, in keeping with the artist's choice of medium and working method.
(iv) Minor wear, minute spots of oxidation and tiny losses are infrequently to the artist's frame. The paper collage has shifted in tone, possibly in keeping with the artist's choice of found medium.
