The signature and inscription on the reverse of the panel are obscured by the frame. A faint impression is visible along the edges and to the corners, in keeping with the mounting process. Small spots of paint loss are occasionally along the edges. Surface irregularities and pigment variation are in keeping with the artist's working method and choice of medium. A few tiny hairline cracks are infrequently to areas of heavier application of paint. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
