The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged to the backing board at the corner tips and undulates slightly. The media has faded slightly. Faint discoloration is to the extreme edges, and a few areas of discoloration are visible towards the interior of the sheet, most notably to the upper half of the sheet and towards the upper right of the composition, likely a result of previous exposure to moisture. A few pinpoint spots of foxing are visible. Soft creasing and faint handling marks are intermittent near the extreme edges. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
