The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is mounted to canvas and has shifted in tone. Hairline abrasions, scuffs and areas of rubbing are occasional on the surface. A few tears are visible along the edges, and one near the right edge. Hairline drying cracks with a few pinpoint losses are occasional. An area of faint staining is visible near the upper right corner, and a few drips are visible near the upper left corner. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
