The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged periodically along the edges to the backing board and undulates slightly. The side edges of the top sheet are deckled, and the upper edge of the lower sheet is uneven. Artist's pinholes are occasionally to the sheet and a pinhole with an associated tear is to the upper left corner. Minor wear to the sheet is to the lower left quadrant of the top sheet, including evidence of a repair. Adhesive residue and creasing are to the left edge where the two sheets are joined, presumably in keeping with the artist's working method. Faint creasing is to the lower left corner of the lower sheet. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
