The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The paperboards are fully laid down to a backing board and have shifted in tone. Time staining is to the edges of Rock Cup and frame abrasions are to the corner-tips and edges of Slate Cup. A tiny nick is to the lower left corner-tip and a faint handling mark is near the center lower edge of Rock Cup. Four pinpoint spots of stray media are to the right edge of Rock Cup, likely artist. A very faint linear abrasion is to the upper center edge of Slate Cup. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
