The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This work has not been examined outside its frame. The sheet is hinged periodically along the edges to the backing board and undulates slightly. The edges of the sheet are deckled. Pinholes are to the corners, presumably a vestige of the artist's working process. Light soiling and faint discoloration are visible occasionally to the edges and corners. A small, soft crease is to the lower left edge, and a small one is to the lower right corner. A few pinpoint spots of foxing are visible occasionally to the upper edge. This work has not been examined under ultraviolet light.
