The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
A strip frame is affixed to the side edges of the canvas. Minor rubbing is to the corner-tips and turning edges. A small scuff is to the upper center edge. A pinpoint loss is to the beak of bird mask in a yellow painted passage. Drying cracks are occasional, most notably to the central register of the canvas. A small abrasion is to the lower left quadrant in a gray painted passage and another is to the beak of the mask near the right edge. A very faint hairline protrusion with tiny associated cracks is near the giraffe's neck, most notably under raking light. A faint drip accretion is to the lower right corner, likely in keeping with the artist's working method. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
