The sheet is hinged periodically along the upper and lower edges to the backing board and undulates slightly. Pinholes are to the corners, presumably vestiges of the artist's process. The edges of the sheet are deckled. A soft crease is near the center right edge, and one is to the right lower edge. A few small abraded accretions are visible occasionally, possibly related to the artist's working method. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.

The condition of lots sold can vary widely due to factors such as age, previous damage, restoration, repair, and wear and tear. The nature of the lots sold means that they will rarely be in perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
