Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The sculpture is structurally sound and all elements are present. Minor wear, surface scuffs and handling marks are occasional to the aluminum elements. Minute accretions are scattered in places. Handling marks and chipping is to the edges of the glass panels. One glass disc has been previously refabricated under the artist’s supervision. Faint wear is to the fabric doll. Wear, handling marks and minute accretions are to the original extender. The extender attaches to the upper edge of the top aluminum element with bolts and must be bolted to the ceiling. The original extender adds 36 inches to the sculpture. The work includes two additional externally fabricated extenders, one adding 18 3/4 inches and one adding 5 inches to the aluminum element.
