The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Minor wear is to the corner-tips and very fine tension cracks are occasionally to the turning edges. Visible under raking light, faint stretcher bar impressions are to the upper and lower edges, and a tiny protrusion with an associated crack is near the lower left edge. A few gently compressed impasto peaks are occasional. Drying cracks are scattered, most notably to the black painted passages. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
