The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work has not been examined unframed and undulates slightly, in keeping with the artist's choice of medium. Very slight rubbing is occasional to the extreme edges. Faint spots of discoloration are occasional to the black colored passages. A few small indentations and pinpoint accretions are occasional, most notably to the upper half of the work. A faint abrasion is to near the lower center edge in a black colored passage. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
