The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Generally good overall condition with the expected minor wax deposits,
marks and wear throughout all elements of the lot, most notable but not
severe to the high points of the plaster figures. One of the nozzles to the pair
with minor notched losses to the upper edge; the pair do not have removable drip pans, but as the nozzles are narrow, it is not clear if they would have been intended to have these; the gilding refreshed, the figures have patina and whilst it is not conclusive it is possible that the present ‘bronzed’ finish is largely original.
The marble bases a little discoloured and with the expected microchipping to the edges.
Some minor marking and wear to the candelabrum; the bright, burnished ormolu to the base would benefit from light (professional) cleaning.
