Details
Each finial formed as a bouquet of roses and forget-me-nots above a pierced domed cover, the pear-shaped body pierced at the neck, applied with gilt foliate scroll handles molded and chased as lashed basket stays, painted in the Sèvres style, one side with two birds in conversation in a landscape vignette, the other with a tight bouquet of field flowers, each framed within encrusted trailing vine of roses and forget-me-nots crossing between the handles and below the pierced neck, the rocaille molded spreading foot enriched in gilt
