Upper Element
The sheet is hinged periodically along the edges and corners to the backing board and undulates slightly. The vertical edges of the sheet are deckled. A minute spot of discoloration is near the lower right edge. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.

Lower Element
The sheet is hinged periodically along the edges and corners to the backing board and undulates slightly. The horizontal edges of the sheet are deckled. Minute hairline cracks are visible occasionally in areas of heavier application of paint. A pinpoint loss is to the upper left corner. A faint hairline abrasion is to the center upper edge in a gray passage, visible in raking light. There are pinpoint spots of transfer of medium visible above center. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
