The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Presents well; in good order and appearance. Structurally sound and ready to use. The top has possibly been been re-positioned and re-affixed to the stem, the upper collar of the stem has had repairs and a section possibly replaced. The top is also slightly lighter in color compared to the base likely a result of some sun-fading. This is visible in the online catalogue photos. There are the general overall marks, nicks, surface scratches throughout, and tiny old repairs particularly to the edge of the top, consistent with age and use. There are old repairs to the tripod base, which are well-done. This table made $17,600 when it last sold at Sotheby's, New York, 28-29 October 1988, lot 478.
