The first - good impression and colour. Vertical centrefold. Slight trimming, minor creasing and staining.
The second - good impression. Slight fading. Soiled, rubbed, creased and trimmed. Repair under toad's mouth. Further small wormholes repaired.
The third - good impression and colour. Slight soiling and wear to paper edges. This design was originally printed as an oban size with another design occupying the upper half of the paper.
The fourth - good impression. Rubbed, soiled and with thinning and losses to paper. Backed onto paper.

The condition of lots sold can vary widely due to factors such as age, previous damage, restoration, repair and wear and tear. The nature of the lots sold means that they will rarely be in perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of the sale.
