The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The flatwoven surface is stable. There are scattered small repairs to the dhurrie, the largest measuring approx.. 23 x 18cm. at the centre of the dhurrie. There is a colour fade to one end covering approximately one third of the dhurrie which gives a gradient affect where the blue ranges from a light grey-blue to a mid-blue. The other side is slightly more even in tone but shows a colour fade to the blue mainly in a vertical band to one half of the dhurrie. The dhurrie has several faint stains, the largest measuring approx.. 66cm. in diameter at the centre of one side edge. There are further, smaller stains in this half of the dhurrie, which are more visible on one side than the other. One edge has several small spots of darker orange stains, the largest measuring approx.. 4cm. in diameter. There is an overall light surface dirt which has dulled the white ground and several scattered surface marks. The dhurrie would benefit from a surface clean to lift the white. The sides are secure and each end is secure with a short fringe.
