The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

-Overall condition: good. Shows normal signs of use commensurate with age with scratches, trace of tarnish, light indentations to the edges. Secure lid. One tiny round ruby deficient.
-Additional marks: CHARLOTTE (to the hot-air balloon), 12 6 12 (to the chair).
-Pearl: white bodycolour, with rosé overtones. With typical blemishes such as bumps.
-Sapphires and rubies: with typical inclusions. A few rubies with cavities.
-Diamonds: bright and lively.
