-Overall condition: good. Shows normal signs of wear with a few scratches. Both fitted with single pin and safety catch.
-Additional marks: maker's mark (partially indistinct), 950, S. 13,14 (sapphire's stated total weight), R.14,2 (ruby's stated weight), 1,51 (on ruby brooch), 1,44 (on sapphire brooch).
-Sapphires: with typical inclusions, one with a cavity to the reverse.
-Rubies: with typical inclusions. Carved ruby with chips and eye-visible cavities on the reverse.
-Onyx: the two panels on the ruby brooch with a few chips, the other two on the sapphire brooch with fractures.
-Diamonds: round on average H to I colour, SI clarity, with a few VS clarity; the remaining baguette-cut bright and lively.
