As per family tradition, the bracelet was formerly the property of Yvonne Arnaud (1890-1958), the French-born actress, singer and pianist. The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford bears her name and is one of the country's leading regional producing theatres. The fitted case of this bracelet bears the initials Y.A. above the date 15.11.37 - presumably in relation to when this bracelet was acquired by her.
