Carved emeralds, ruby and sapphire, circular-cut diamonds, French marks, circa 1925, maker’s mark for Henri Picq

Size/Dimensions: 3.4 x 2.2 cm
Gross Weight: 9.6 grams

This brooch displays the maker’s mark (initials HP flanking an ace of spades symbol) for Henri Picq, one of the principal Parisian workshops who produced jewels for Cartier from the early 20th century into the 1920s.

Picq’s workshop created many of Cartier’s ‘Tutti Frutti’ jewels in the 1920s and the undulating design of this flower brooch and use of carved emeralds, ruby and sapphire bears a close resemblance to this iconic design.
