The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

-Overall condition: good. Shows normal signs of wear commensurate with age. Few areas of metal discoloration. One comb slightly misshapen. Few areas at the reverse where the metal wire is slightly bent. Please note each hair comb features a hinged mechanism for ease of wear.
-Additional marks: obscured maker's marks.
-Diamonds: H to I color, SI to I clarity. Minor nicks and abrasions throughout. Many old and rose-cut of decorative quality.
-Horn: with typical characteristics and minor abrasions throughout. Some moderate abrasions to the points of the carved horn.
