The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

-Overall condition: fair to good. Shows signs of wear commensurate with age including abrasions to the gold and enamel. Few visible chips to the enamel exposing a shallow layer underneath. Few areas of discoloration to the gold, predominantly to the reverse. Fitted with a single pinstem at reverse.
-Enamel: with abrasions and few areas of loss. Few visible chips exposing a shallow layer underneath.
-Emeralds and ruby: of decorative quality. With typical inclusions, some surface reaching, surface abrasions and fractures.
