The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Hinged at the upper corners on the reverse to a supporting paper sheet with Japan paper, itself hinged at the upper corners on the reverse to the mat-backing with Japan paper. Left edge uneven. Small expertly repaired tear to the lower right edge and another to the upper left edge. One or two additional nicks to the edges in places. Very slightly compression to the corners, barely noticeable. Light-stained. Scattered small points and pinpoints of foxing. Artist's thumbprint at the lower left corner. Flattened horizontal crease at the top of the sheet, as well as a few additional faint handling creases in places. Line is strong. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.
