The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The work was not inspected outside of its wooden frame, which is attached with nails to the side edges of the canvas. A short abrasion is near the center upper edge. Hairline cracks are to the lower register, with corresponding spots of restoration to the reverse. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
