The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

There are the inevitable dents, marks, scratches and rubbing consistent with age and use.

Exterior exhibits dents, marks, scratches and stains, there are some small perforations to the canvas on the sides, dents and marks to the wooden slats, there are some minor losses to the canvas, visible wear to the canvas covering the hinges. The leather closure strap is missing. Hardware and lozine trim exhibits significant dents, scratches and rust.

Interior is incomplete, it exhibits significant humidity stains and marks, lining paper is torn, the blue coton ribbon appears to be a later replacement, still it exhibits some tear.
